My experience with Lumin Pdf for annotating and writing has been phenomenal, and I've been taking books that I read for leisure into Lumin (if they have an online version) to annotate them. Overall, Lumin Pdf is exceptional for word documents. However, I've tried to use Lumin for math documents and writing equations, but the functions are simply lacking. Since I can't write exponents or the like, I have to make awkward and time consuming alternatives (like making a separate layer of text for exponents that are smaller, and two smaller layers for fractions) which dissuades me from using Lumin in these circumstances. Currently, I use Kami for anything requiring complicated equations, but I would switch over to Lumin Pdf if they had the tools that I needed. So please, make an equation tool for typing. In order of importance, some of these tools that I request are:
1) Exponents
2) Fractions
3) Square Roots
4) Variables (written with a different font than normal letters for easier readability)
5) Multiplication and division symbols
6) Log, E, infinity symbols, derivatives, f(x) and other, more specific terms used in mathematical Equations.
7) Finally, it would be very obliged if you could add a solving for variables function, where anything done on one side of an equation (E.g. divide by 6, add 5x) is done to the other side, and where said operations are automatically formatted for solving. It could look like this:
3x+5 = 7x-3
-5 -5
3x = 7x -8
-7x = -7x -8
-4x = -8
___ ___
-4 -4 (This line would look better if the spacing between the improv division
x = 2 symbol wasn't as large.)
Thank you for reading this feature request, and I hope you have a great day.
