Users may request edits while unknowingly in a read-only workflow, with no prompt to switch modes. The system should detect when an editing action is attempted in a non-editing context and automatically surface a clear prompt — e.g. "Editing requested — switch to editing mode?" — before the action fails or produces no output. Expected outcome: reduced confusion, higher completion rates.

The system indicated editing capability but then refused to execute without surfacing a clear reason. When a document has a constraint that prevents editing — such as flattened objects requiring OCR first — that limitation should be communicated proactively and specifically, not encountered as a silent failure. Users lose trust when the gap between advertised and actual capability is unexplained. Expected outcome: greater user trust, reduced frustration.

When you click somewhere to insert text, after you’re done typing, the text moves up a little bit. This can make aligning text more of a hassle.

I am encountering a coordinate mapping anomaly within Lumin PDF. Specifically, the text selection baseline of a particular file has been rotated by 90 degrees, resulting in a horizontal cursor orientation and vertical text highlighting. This issue appears to stem from a mismatch between the PDF's Page Box rotation attributes and the Rendering Context used by the web interface. Is there a recommended procedure to force a refresh of the file's metadata cache or to re-initialize the coordinate system mapping for this document?

Noted that advanced tools like "merge" and "split" could be made more obviously visible in the main interface for faster access.

There has been times where I have been working on a document and had to close the app and then the document no longer exists. I even tried using the URL to bring me back to the document and it's still gone. I think there should be a file that holds temporary files that are being worked on that can be easily deleted by the user. Some of the interfaces also not user friendly if I click on a paper I shouldn't have to find the original folder to delete the document

This app is horrible. i cannot edit a simple word on the pdf. it stopped working after a few edits. I wouldn't use this for free.

I made my edits to the pdf, clicked save, and it disappeared; nowhere to be found. After this happened multiple times I threw in the towel and deleted my account from the app.

I find your product too difficult to use when trying to insert text to documents.

i need to access the latest comments and changes i was working on today. they just disappeared for some reason. it is very very urgent. the file is showing comments and changes which are two days old. I have lost all the work done in the last two days.
